A subscription refund is a refund of the subscription amount paid by the customer. The refund can be initiated by the customer or the SaaS company. The refund can be initiated for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Customer is not satisfied with the product
  • Customer is not satisfied with the support
  • Customer is not satisfied with the product features
  • Customer is not satisfied with the product pricing
  • Customer is not satisfied with the product performance
  • Customer is not satisfied with the product quality
  • Customer is not satisfied with the product reliability
  • Customer is not satisfied with the product security
  • Customer is not satisfied with the product privacy

If a customer is asking for a subscription refund for your SaaS product, then you're going to have to handle it by initiating a refund in your payment gateway. If you are using Stripe, then you can initiate a refund by going to the customer's subscription page and clicking on the "Refund" button. Learn more about refunding a subscription in Stripe.
